ADJ VI, ROHTAS CIVIL COURT CONVICTED A PERSON OF RAPE, FIXED SEPTEMBER 19, 2024 FOR ANNOUNCEMENT OF QUANTUM OF PUNISHMENT

SASARAM----------------------------Additional District and Session Judge VI cum Special Judge Protection of Children from Sexual Offense (POCSO) Act, Rohtas Civil Court, convicted a person Mithlesh Kumar of Pandeypur-Dehari village of outraging modesty of teenage girl. The court fixed September 19, 2024 for the announcement of quantum of punishment.

Special Public Prosecutor Janak Raj Kishori said that Mithilesh Kumar caught a teenage girl when she had gone to the field in the village under Dehari police station to attend call of nature in the late evening on September 11, 2022 and took her to a dilapidated house where he outraged her modesty. The blood stained girl somehow reached her house and narrated her ordeal before her family members. Later a named FIR was lodged with the police under Dehari police station. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and submitted the chargesheet in the court.

After hearing both the parties, the court convicted Mithilesh Kumar in connection with outraging the modesty of a teenage girl and said that quantum of punishment will be announced on September 19, 2024.
